Through our platform, we serve over 400 million square feet of real estate, thousands of utility accounts, over 7,000 GWh of annual electricity consumption, and nearly $1 billion in annual utility spend across 43 states and multiple countries.  At a key inflection point in our company growth, EnergyWatch is looking for a self-motivated, detail-orientated Utility Account Analyst to help us manage our utility invoice database, enroll new clients, as well as communicate and resolve issues with utilities/energy suppliers and our clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Review audit results for utility invoices and determine next steps
  • Communicate with utility companies and energy suppliers to manage billing issues
  • Set up, review, and deliver monthly reports
  • Help onboard new clients
  • Update EnergyWatch’s utility database
  • Ad hoc analyses
  • Assist EnergyWatch’s Principals on an as needed basis

Who you are:

  • Detail oriented
  • Eager to learn
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communicator
  • Able to handle deadlines, high stress situations, and effectively resolve conflicts
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with utility data and invoices is a plus
  • Eligible to work in the US full-time

At a key inflection point in our company growth, EnergyWatch is seeking a Sales Executive with the vision, industry understanding, integrity and relationship-building skills to join EnergyWatch’s growing sales team.

Based in our New York City office, the Sales Executive focus will center on Watchwire SaaS solutions. This includes owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and grow a Territory whereby monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Watchwire SaaS and supporting services.
  • Make cold and warm sales calls to various stakeholders and decision-makers within target market including Utilities, Fortune 1000 and Real-estate Management companies.
  • Lead or participate in remote and in-person demonstrations of Watchwire with prospective customers
  • Clearly communicate Watchwire SaaS value proposition
  • Understand prospect organization structure and decision-making processes
  • Prepare proposals and present the value proposition for Watchwire virtually and in-person
  • Track Leads, Opportunities and Sales KPI’s in Salesforce.com
  • Develop sales plan to provide market overview and sales/marketing strategy for achieving sales targets.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle to secure new customers
  • Liaise with Customer Success team after sales have been made

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with SaaS (Energy management industry experience and knowledge of energy a plus)
  • A track record of closing sales (or a strong commitment to learning the sales process)
  • Candidates will be highly motivated and have extensive experience in successfully selling large ticket solutions.
  • Candidates must have strong presentation, written and oral communication skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Creativity in engaging cold leads
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related discipline preferred.
  • Travel required.
  • Experience growing sales in a start-up environment selling innovation.

About the Internship:

  • This is a paid internship for a software engineer role that offers professional development and mentorship for a period of 12 – 14 weeks.
  • Upon completion of this internship and depending on your performance this may lead to a full-time software development position.
  • You will work directly with the firm’s Partners and tech team on developing its industry leading energy management and analytics platform.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with Data Structures or Algorithms gathered from: completing a data structures or algorithms class, coursework, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work (including open source hobby coding).
  • Experience in Software Development and coding in a general-purpose programming language such as Java or Python.

Ideal Technical Experience:

  • Some experience with programming languages – Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL
  • Some experience working on web applications using frameworks – Java Play, ReactJS, Angular, Django
  • Knowledge of programming techniques – Microservices, RESTful APIs, OOP
  • Some experience with relational DB
  • Knowledge of NoSQL concepts with frameworks – Redis, ElasticSearch
